YFC Mpumalanga is one of
the branches of Youth
for Christ South
Africa. Our local
branch focuses on the
following projects:
INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS
YFC Mpumalanga is aiming to
invite
international volunteers
to come to South Africa for
a 6 month - 1 year period to
participate in our ministry
and projects. This
programme is running really
well in YFC Cape Town and we
hope to implement it here
soon. Each volunteer would
be required to raise monthly
support of U$430 (from their
church, personal savings,
family members etc.) which
is used to cover their
transport, accommodation,
food etc. It is a great
opportunity for their
personal growth and
developmemt, a chance to
serve South African youth
(mainly in rural areas =
cross cultural experience),
to see God use them to make
a difference and to
experience some of South
Africa’s sights and sounds (eg.
Kruger National Park, Blyde
River Canyon, etc).
Obviously YFC benefits too
as they would add value to
the work we do. We are also
under less financial
pressure, as we do not have
to employ more staff to
expand our work. It is a
great win-win situation, I
think. We would not only be
interested in “grassroots
ministry” volunteers, but
also people who could add
value in administration,
training, marketing, fund
raising etc.
Each volunteer would have to
apply and go through a
selection/application
process. Not every
volunteer that applies to
come would be
accepted! Every
volunteer/intern would have
to adhere to
our vision, mission, etc.
